ann

Ann joined the Ocean Veterinary Ophthalmology team in January 2024. She has had a long veterinary career that focused in emergency and critical care medicine, but has spanned general practice, working with the US Army supporting the medical care of military canines, and specialty practice. She graduated from St. Petersburg College with a veterinary technician degree in 2008, and holds licenses in multiple states. In 2018, Ann moved into practice management where her history of leading teams in busy emergency settings while maintaining outstanding levels of client and patient care helped develop the guiding principle she passes on to her teams; no effort will be spared to ensure each pet leaves the hospital feeling better than when they arrived.

Outside of work she volunteers with a local search and rescue team as a K9 handler. She shares her home with Bogan, a comical Australian Cattle Dog and retired search & rescue dog, Tokkie, a stoic Dutch Shepherd Dog who is her current operational search & rescue partner, and Doyan, a beautiful white feline who is Bogan’s best friend and the true boss of the household.
