Jene’ joined the OVO team in June of 2023. Throughout her decade-plus career as a Veterinary Assistant turned Licensed Veterinary Technician, she has worked in general practice, shelter medicine, emergency and critical care and has volunteered with rehabbing a variety of primates in South Africa. Recently, she wanted to try something new after being in general practice for a while and found Ocean Veterinary Ophthalmology.
At home, she has 5 cats; Cinnamon Swirl and Butternut Squash are both 9 years old, Olive is 5, Samoa Cookie (or Samuel for when he is in trouble…because he is never NOT in trouble) is 2, and their newest addition, Sesame, who is 4 months.
Aside from work and making sure her cats don’t test their 9 lives, Jene’ can be found cleaning and organizing, listening to podcasts, or out on a walk or hike with her husband.
